Craig Colbert - Craig is the co-director of International Friends and the Pastor of Global Life Church. He was born in Leesburg, VA served in the 101st Airborne Division, U.S. Army for 4 years, received his B.S. degree in Bible from Columbia International University in Columbia, SC in 1983; served with Frontiers in Morocco for 2 years and came to Columbia, MO to earn his M.S. degree in Community/International Development from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1989. He founded the ministry of International Friends in 1986 under the auspices of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship transferring to InterFACE Ministries in 2006. He likes to read, loves history and learning about other cultures.
Shirley Colbert - Shirley is the co-director of International Friends and was born in Kankakee, IL but grew up in Waukesha, WI and received her B.S. in Home Economics Education from the University of Wisconsin-Stout and after teaching in Junior High for several years went to Columbia Biblical Seminary to get a Certificate in Bible & Missions to prepare for inner city work with Child Evangelism Fellowship. After two years as Inner City Director with CEF, she married Craig and served in Morocco for two years with him. Shirley is the ESL Trainer for Columbia Literacy Action Corps, has taught pre-school, been an ESL teacher in the Adult Basic Education in Columbia Public Schools, and directs a spouses program for international spouses. She loves to sew, cook, teach all age groups and enjoys learning about other cultures.
